Organ meats remain a highly underrated way to improve health. Part of this is because we have been raised in sterile environments with shrink-wrapped, uniform chicken breasts and burger meats in the grocery stores with little other options. Our taste palates are very narrow and thus, our nutritional intake is also very narrow.
That’s why I’m open to trying organ meat supplements because it is often the only way that you can get a wider variety of nutrients and nutrient cofactors.
Over the last couple of months, I excitedly tried the MK Supplements Female Vitality supplement because it is an organ meat supplement like no other. It contains a blend of organ meats including bovine spleen, bovine uterus and fallopian tubes, bovine ovaries, and bovine kidney. These organ meats contain active women’s hormones because it is naturally freeze dried, which keeps these organ meats intact.
From Michael Kummer, founder and owner of MK Supplements: “As a result (of freeze drying), you’re getting those hormones into your body, and that will positively impact you.”
In this post, I share my honest MK Supplements Female Vitality review and supporting research about why this supplement may help you get your hormonal health back. I also discuss the possible risks and what to expect from this supplement. Contains affiliate links.

What is MK Supplements Female Vitality Supplement?
The benefits of organ meat supplements are vast. Organ meats provide you with lots of vitamins, enzymes, biodirectors, minerals, essential fatty acids, and nutrient cofactors.
These organ meats, referred to as offal, also have compounds that historically treated conditions associated with your specific organ in the body that are ailing. For example, eating bovine ovary is used to treat ovarian dysfunction from a like-treats-like approach. The women who would potentially benefit most from this supplement are women who struggle with fertility such as people with polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis, irregular periods, and many more.
And there are good reasons to believe that organ meats work this way. Freeze-dried bovine ovary tissue contains natural estrogen, progesterone, and ovary building blocks. It is also rich in bio-director compounds like mRNA and DNA that specifically may benefit the ovaries. Another example: heart organ meat tissue is the richest source of coenzyme Q10, which is the heart’s major antioxidant.
Other organ meats included in MK Supplements Female Vitality Supplement are bovine spleen, bovine uterus, bovine fallopian tubes, bovine kidney, and of course, bovine ovaries. In the past, I have written about bovine kidney supplements and their fascinating roles in helping manage allergies and cortisol. Bovine kidney contains diamine oxidase (DAO), an enzyme that is critical for breaking down histamine in the gut. It is also made by the kidneys. Women can genetically lack this enzyme, which is why women can be hit harder by allergies at various points in the menstrual cycle. The spleen contains critical immune compounds that support normal immune function.
Quality of MK Supplements Female Vitality Supplement
Like other MK Supplements products, the Female Vitality supplement meets the following exceptional quality criteria:
- Third-party inspected (contains GMP certification)
- No fillers or additives
- Fully 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef organs
- Excellent brand reputation and customer service
- Non-defatted to retain its nutrients
- Freeze-dried to naturally preserve active compounds and enzymes
- Glass bottle instead of plastic — because who needs more plastic toxins?
- Highly nutritious — contains nutrient-dense organ meats
A 2024 review on food drying technologies confirmed that freeze-drying outperforms hot-air drying and canning in retaining heat-sensitive nutrients including folate, vitamin C, omega-3 fatty acids, and fat-soluble vitamins like A and D — exactly the nutrients women need most during hormonal transitions.
Nutrients in MK Supplements Female Vitality Supplement
I’m going to break down the ingredients in MK Supplements Female Vitality Supplement here. In a nutshell, it provides nose-to-tail nutrition for women unrivaled by any other product out there. It contains a 30-day supply of the following:
Spleen organ meat (1,500 mg per serving): Used traditionally to support a healthy immune system, eating spleen may help reduce autoimmune disease symptoms and to help recover from severe illnesses such as cancer or immune compromise. The spleen organ is rich in many nutrients including iron, niacin, riboflavin, phosphorus, and protein. Spleen is one of the most bioavailable sources of heme iron — the form that is most efficiently absorbed by the body, making it particularly valuable for menstruating women who commonly run low on iron.
Uterus and fallopian tubes (500 mg per serving): The uterus provides nutrients to a fertilized egg, which passes through the fallopian tubes. The egg receives nourishment from blood vessels exclusively developed for this purpose. While no nutrient analysis is specifically available for these organs, it stands to reason that it is exceptionally rich in nutrients because providing nutrients is the uterus’s function. These organs are traditionally valued in ancestral nutrition for their support of women through hormonal changes such as PMS and perimenopause.
Ovary organs (500 mg per serving): Contain eggs, which are exceptionally nutritious. While no company has yet broken down the exact content of bovine ovary, fish eggs are highly nutritious and contain a lot of choline and healthy fats. Additionally, the ovaries make hormones such as estrogen, progesterone, inhibin, and progestogen. The ovaries also produce testosterone, which supports healthy muscle mass and normal sexual function. The ovaries produce their own hormones in response to signals from the pituitary gland, such as follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH).
Kidney organs (200 mg): Very rich in nutrients like coenzyme Q10, vitamin A, vitamin B12, vitamin B6, and riboflavin. Based on the philosophy that like-treats-like, kidney organs provide natural cortisol, kidney building blocks, and importantly, histamine-busting DAO enzymes. Kidney also provides a remarkable amount of selenium, which is increasingly relevant to women approaching perimenopause as thyroid function can quietly shift during this life stage.
MK Supplements Female Vitality Benefits

Containing the like-treats-like organs, MK Supplements benefits are potentially vast. By supporting reproductive health, these organ meats may help improve libido, promote cycle regularity, reduce premenstrual syndrome, improve reproductive health, and even support women of menopausal age by providing a natural source of hormones. It contains absolutely zero additives or synthetic ingredients.
MK Supplements Female Vitality Supplement supports healthy blood circulation because of its rich nutrient content and also contains endothelin, which supports natural circulation and reproductive function. It also contains a good amount of selenium to support antioxidant levels for healthy hormones, including thyroid hormone. It is rich in copper, vitamin A, vitamin E, vitamin K2, biotin, and copper as well.
Other components in this supplement are follistatin (helps with healthy egg release and muscle strength), VEGF (supports healthy immunity), epidermal growth factor and BFGF. Sadly, research has barely touched the surface of what these compounds do in the body.
But, I don’t think this is necessarily a deterrent. Research doesn’t mean that a product is safe. For example, research studies on pharmaceutical drugs are copious and yet many have severe long-term harms for the body, such as PPI drugs.
My MK Supplements Female Vitality Review
I’m a healthy person, so adding this supplement indeed muddies the waters a bit. But I did notice a lot of things and I’ll explain soon. I’m also 51 years old, which means that I’m perimenopausal and my hormones and cycles have become somewhat unpredictable. But as I reviewed in my book Period Fix, there are many ways to make this part of life some of the best years of your life. I’ve conquered many of my own hormonal issues as can any woman by harnessing the power of nutrients and herbs.
So, in that context, it is a bit challenging to review another supplement that targets women’s health. And yet, here is what I noticed. I went from having a menstrual cycle every 75 days or so to having a menstrual cycle every 28 days. Fascinating! While this could be a coincidence, I don’t think so. I’ve also had almost zero allergy symptoms and it’s peak allergy season. Win-win if you ask me. I attribute this to Female Vitality’s kidney organ meat contents.
As you may know, the longer you can retain healthy cycles into your middle-aged years, the lower your risk of bone disease like osteoporosis and definitely a lower risk of heart disease. I’m really excited about the Female Vitality Supplement for this reason.
I will keep taking it and keep you updated on my journey. Of course, I don’t hope to have a menstrual cycle at age 70 because they are indeed tiring in many ways. But many women’s cycles end prematurely, so I can see a broad application for women who struggle with irregular periods by using MK Supplements Female Vitality Supplement.
New Research: What Science Says in 2025–2026
Since I first published this review, a growing body of research has continued to support the rationale behind organ meat supplementation for women’s hormonal health. Here is what the latest science adds:
Freeze-Drying Preserves the Nutrients That Matter Most
Key finding: A 2024 review on food drying technologies confirmed that freeze-drying outperforms hot-air drying and canning at retaining folate, vitamin C, and omega-3 fatty acids, as well as protein quality and fat-soluble vitamins A and D. It also preserves enzymes and co-factors that conventional processing destroys. (Source: Pluck 2024 Review)
This is exactly why MK Supplements uses freeze-drying — not as a marketing angle, but because the science backs it up as the gold standard for preserving the bioactive compounds in organ meats, including the hormones and enzymes that make this product unique.
A 2024 analysis of raw beef offal also confirmed that organ meats meet FDA criteria as “good” or “excellent” sources of numerous essential nutrients, and that combinations of different organs provide a more well-rounded nutrient profile than any single organ alone. This nose-to-tail formulation philosophy is central to what sets MK Supplements Female Vitality apart.
DAO Enzymes and Women’s Hormonal Health: A Stronger Connection Than You Think
Key finding: Research published in ScienceDirect (2025) confirmed that serum DAO levels in healthy women fluctuate with the menstrual cycle, with higher DAO activity during the luteal phase. When estrogen drops at the start of a period, DAO levels can fall, potentially worsening cramping, headaches, and allergy symptoms. (Source: ScienceDirect 2025)
This aligns perfectly with my personal experience: adding bovine kidney — the natural source of the DAO enzyme — appeared to dramatically reduce my allergy symptoms. Research from Synlab has further clarified that in women, histamine is produced by mast cells in the uterus and ovaries, and that women with histamine intolerance frequently experience cycle-dependent headaches and severe menstrual cramps. Histamine can actually drive estrogen production, creating a feedback loop that makes symptoms worse.
The kidney-derived DAO enzyme in Female Vitality Supplement may help break this cycle naturally — exactly as I experienced.
Heme Iron and B12: Still the Most Bioavailable Form for Women
Organ meats, especially spleen and liver, provide heme iron — the form with the highest absorption rate for the human body. Women who menstruate, are postpartum, or are going through perimenopause have among the highest iron needs of any population. While plant-based iron (non-heme iron) has a absorption rate of as low as 2–20%, heme iron from organ meats can be absorbed at rates up to 35%. For selenium, zinc, and vitamin B12, beef organs remain unmatched in bioavailability.
Ancestral Nutrition Meets Modern Science
Interest in organ meat supplements has surged dramatically — Google Trends data shows searches for “beef organ supplements” have risen over 400% in the past three years. This isn’t driven by marketing alone; it’s driven by results. A growing number of physicians, dietitians, and researchers are revisiting the ancestral logic that whole organ meats provide targeted, bioavailable nutrition that isolated synthetic supplements simply cannot replicate. The Female Vitality Supplement sits at the forefront of this paradigm.
Why Organ Meat Quality Matters for Women
Not all organ supplements are created equal, and this matters especially for women concerned about hormonal health. If you’re going to consume organs for their natural hormone content, the sourcing must be impeccable.
For a deep dive into why sourcing and quality standards matter more than you might think, read my post: Organ Meats for Women: Why Quality Matters More Than You Think.
In short: grass-fed, grass-finished bovine organs contain higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), and fat-soluble vitamins compared to grain-fed sources. The difference is not trivial — it directly affects the hormonal and enzymatic content of the supplement you’re taking. MK Supplements sources exclusively from 100% grass-fed, grass-finished cattle, which is why it meets my standards as a registered dietitian.
Other Benefits of Organ Meats
Eating organ meats not only helps your body’s female organs, it also helps with overall health in many ways. For example, one recent study found that people who eat more organ meats have a much lower risk of fatty liver disease.
My personal favorite organ meat supplement for overall vitality is MK Supplements Grass-Fed Beef Liver. For people who want a comprehensive organ meat blend, I also recommend MK Supplements Beef Organs.

Don’t Overlook Bone & Marrow for Women’s Long-Term Health
True nose-to-tail nutrition doesn’t stop at soft organs. Bone and bone marrow are among the most nutrient-dense whole foods in the ancestral diet — and they offer a set of benefits that directly complement what Female Vitality provides. Where Female Vitality targets reproductive and hormonal health through ovary, uterus, spleen, and kidney tissue, MK Supplements Bone & Marrow addresses bone density, connective tissue, and the nutrient cofactors women need most as they age — particularly those moving through perimenopause.
In my own experience cutting out dairy, I turned to MK Supplements Bone & Marrow as a whole-food calcium source — and what I found was far more than just calcium. Three capsules deliver 60% of the daily value of calcium alongside phosphorus, collagen types I and II, natural vitamin K2, heme iron, magnesium, sphingolipids, and glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). This matters because calcium doesn’t work alone. Without vitamin K2, supplemental calcium can end up deposited in arterial walls instead of bone tissue — a risk well-documented with isolated calcium carbonate supplements. The whole-food matrix in Bone & Marrow provides calcium the way your body is designed to receive it: with its cofactors intact.
For women concerned about osteoporosis risk, or anyone who has reduced or eliminated dairy, pairing Female Vitality with Bone & Marrow provides a more complete picture of ancestral nutrition. Risks of MK Supplements Female Vitality
Some women are susceptible to hormonal-related cancers. If this is you, you should definitely check with your healthcare provider before trying this supplement. Or if you have a family history of breast cancer or ovarian cancer, make sure to vet this supplement out with your doctor. And the obvious — this one was developed for women. It’s not for men.
As with any supplement that contains naturally occurring hormones (estrogen, progesterone), women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or on hormonal medications should consult their healthcare provider before use.
